Dear Santa:
Benefits in Action is a Colorado nonprofit organization that provides health benefit application assistance, food deliveries to homebound individuals, and mental wellbeing support. We are dedicated to supporting our diverse community with the support and resources they need to thrive. Our birthday is November 16, 2015. Since then, we have helped over 75,000 individuals with food and health-related needs. We believe we made it to your nice list this year, so here is our Holiday list.
1. Volunteer Support. We can only provide the services we provide to the community with the support of our volunteers. They form the backbone of Benefits in Action. It is easy and rewarding to volunteer. Just contact our Director of Volunteers, Miriam Wilch, at volunteers@benefitsinaction.org. Some examples of volunteer opportunities include volunteer health benefit navigators, volunteer food delivery drivers, volunteers taking inbound calls from the community, and volunteer tax preparers.
2. Donations. It is the time for end of the year giving. We hope to be a part of your annual philanthropic plan. We are part of Colorado Gives Day. We have raised $11,850 with the support of 84 donors so far. Our goal is to raise $20,000 by the end of the year. Donate today, and your donation will be matched by the Colorado Gives Foundation.
3. A ladder. This may sound like a strange request, but we need it to reach some of the food in our warehouse, so we can distribute it to the community. (If you have a 16' or 18' ladder to donate, email: creid@benefitsinaction.org)
4. Customer feedback. If you have had a good experience with BIA, contact our Outreach and Marketing Coordinator, Rachel Wise by completing this form to leave a good review. We love hearing from the community.
5. A trip to Hawaii. Just kidding. We are satisfied with our current role serving the greater Denver Metro Area and the State of Colorado.
Thank you for providing gifts to nice people and nonprofits throughout the world every year. It is much appreciated. Give our regards to Mrs. Claus and the elves. We’ll leave milk and cookies at the front door. We don’t have a chimney.
Sincerely,
Benefits in Action
